Precision rolled aluminum coil is a high-precision aluminum alloy sheet product processed through multiple rolling processes. Precision rolled aluminum coil is further processed through the finishing process of rough rolling or cold rolling during the production of aluminum coils to obtain higher precision thickness, better surface quality and better mechanical properties.
Production process of precision rolled aluminum coil:
- Hot rolling and finishing: First, the flat ingot is milled to remove surface defects, then heated to 350℃-550℃, and then hot rough rolling is performed to roll the flat ingot into a 20-160mm slab, followed by finishing rolling in a hot finishing mill. After 10-18 passes of rolling, a 2.5-16mm thick coil is produced.
- Cold rolling and finishing: Using hot-rolled aluminum coil as raw material, it is rolled to the finished product thickness through multiple passes in a four-roll irreversible cold rolling mill. The finishing process is a key link in the production process of cold rolled aluminum coils. Through this process, the dimensional accuracy, surface quality and mechanical properties of the aluminum coil can be effectively controlled.
Performance characteristics of precision rolled aluminum coil:
- High-precision size:
The thickness tolerance of the precision rolled aluminum coil can be controlled within a very small range, which can meet the needs of various high-precision applications, such as the strict requirements for plate thickness accuracy in aerospace, electronics and other fields.
- Good surface quality:
The surface is flat and smooth, without wrinkles, no oxidation spots, and has a high surface finish. It can be directly used in some occasions with high appearance requirements, such as architectural decoration, automotive interior, etc.
- Excellent mechanical properties:
Through the work hardening and alloying elements in the finishing process, the precision rolled aluminum coil has high strength, hardness and good toughness, can withstand large external forces and pressures, and also has good fatigue resistance.
- Good corrosion resistance:
Aluminum alloy itself has a certain corrosion resistance. After finishing rolling and subsequent surface treatment, the corrosion resistance of the precision rolled aluminum coil is further improved, and it can be used for a long time in various harsh environmental conditions, such as humid, acid and alkali corrosive environments.
Application fields of precision rolled aluminum coil:
- Architectural field:
Used for building curtain walls, roofs, wall decoration, ceilings, etc. Its beautiful appearance, corrosion resistance, light weight and other characteristics can improve the overall quality and service life of the building.
- Automobile manufacturing:
It can be used for automobile body panels, engine hoods, trunk lids, interior trims, etc., which helps to achieve lightweight cars and improve fuel economy, while also ensuring the strength and safety of the car body.
- Aerospace:
Due to its high strength, low density and good corrosion resistance, it is widely used in aircraft wings, fuselage structural parts, engine parts, etc., which is of great significance for reducing aircraft weight and improving flight performance.
- Electronic appliances:
Used to manufacture electronic equipment housings, radiators, circuit boards, etc. Its good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and electromagnetic shielding performance can meet the high performance requirements of electronic equipment.
- Packaging industry:
Such as food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, cosmetics packaging, etc., fine-rolled aluminum coils can be made into packaging containers of various shapes, with good barrier properties, corrosion resistance and aesthetics, which can effectively protect product quality and extend shelf life.
